The report showed a 31% bilateral deficit nine months post-ACL. That data probably stopped me re-injuring.

“I was nine months post-ACL and my surgeon said I was cleared. The assessment showed a 31% bilateral deficit — I wasn't ready. That data probably stopped me re-injuring.”

01 — Sound familiar?

You're not lazy. You're ill-informed.

Most clinics treat what they can see and feel. That's why the same problem keeps coming back. Until you measure it, you're guessing.

×
You've rested it, stretched it, foam-rolled it — and it still comes back.
×
You've had physio before, but no one's ever actually shown you why it keeps happening.
×
You don't know if you're imbalanced, weak, or moving badly under load — because no one's ever tested it.
×
You're scared to push training or sport again in case it goes again.
×
You train hard but have no idea if you're actually getting fitter, faster, or stronger — or just tired.
×
You're guessing whether your training is working, instead of knowing.

VALD HHD hand-held dynamometer test annotated with peak force, rate of force development, time to peak force and start of movement
VALD HHD + ForceDecks · combined testing protocol
Strength, force, asymmetry — one complete picture.
The technology
Two testing systems. One complete picture.

VALD HHD measures isolated joint and muscle strength. VALD ForceDecks measures how you actually move — force production, landing mechanics, and asymmetries under real athletic load. Together, they give us a full picture no single test can — from raw strength through to how your body performs under real conditions.

03 — Why testing matters

No guesswork.
Just your data.

Most clinics treat symptoms based on how something feels or looks. We test it — using a combined VALD HHD (hand-held dynamometry) and ForceDecks (force plate) protocol, the same objective testing technology used by elite sports teams — to measure exactly where your strength, movement, asymmetry, and injury risk actually sit. No guesswork. No generic advice. Just your data, and a plan built around it.

It's not just for injuries. Whether you're rehabbing or training to perform, the same data tells you where you stand — and whether your training is actually moving the needle.

What we test
  • Joint-by-joint strength (VALD HHD)
Pinpointing exactly which muscle groups are underperforming.
  • Force, power & landing mechanics (VALD ForceDecks)
How you produce and absorb force under real athletic conditions.
  • Power output & rate of force development
The numbers behind how fast and explosive you really are.
  • Left-to-right asymmetries
Across both strength and movement — the imbalances driving compensation and reinjury risk.
  • Objective benchmarks
How you compare to normative data for your sport or activity level.
  • Risk markers
The specific deficits linked to your injury or performance limiter.
  • Progress tracking
Re-test over time to see, in numbers, whether your training is making you fitter, faster, and stronger.

06 — Questions

Before you book.

How long does the assessment take?+

Around 60 minutes — a full clinical assessment, combined VALD HHD and ForceDecks testing, and a walkthrough of your results.

Who is it suitable for?+

Anyone active — from recreational gym-goers to competitive athletes. If you train, rehab, or want objective answers about your body, it applies.

Do I need to be injured?+

No. The assessment is just as valuable for performance benchmarking and injury-risk screening as it is for people currently in pain.

Will I receive a report?+

Yes. Every assessment includes a comprehensive written report of your results plus clear, individual recommendations.

How often should I be tested?+

Typically every 8–12 weeks — often enough to see measurable change, spaced enough for training to actually move the numbers.

Can this identify injury risk?+

Yes. Asymmetries, force deficits, and landing mechanics are among the most established objective markers linked to injury risk.
